The number of deaths from floods in Brazil reached 95

The governor of Rio Grande do Sul declared a state of emergency, while Brazilian President Lula da Silva pledged funds to meet the current crisis.

On the other hand, in response to the flood disaster in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil mobilized its largest warship, the Multi-Purpose Aircraft Carrier “Atlântico”, along with a fleet of support ships.

Equipped for large-scale humanitarian aid missions, “Atlântico” can produce 20,000 litres of drinking water per hour with its onboard purification system.
